Today, I ran a charter for Thomas, his father, brother, and son. His son is quite a big deal, so we didn’t take many photos. 🤣 The day started off full of rain, and we really questioned if we’d be able to fish. I was getting bait, and then this happened…
It reminded me that rainbows serve as a symbol of hope and connection between the heavens, the earth, and all living creatures. They remind us of the promise that, despite the storms we face, we can find assurance that life will continue and flourish after the storms we endure.

In this exciting adventure, we visited Anclote pier in Holiday, Florida, where we not only had a random giveaway but also witnessed Jonathan catching his very first fish ever!</div><div><br></div><div>As we mentioned before, Jonathan's father is currently at basic training, but that didn't dampen Jonathan's enthusiasm for this fishing trip. He was beyond excited to cast his line and try his luck in the waters.</div><div><br></div><div>With the help of his grandmother and our team, Jonathan patiently waited for a bite. And boy, oh boy, did luck smile upon him! Jonathan felt a tug on his line, and with a burst of excitement, he reeled in his first fish. As a surprise for Jonathan, an anonymous donor graciously provided him with a brand new rod and reel to take home. The winds were tough.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 1em;">The choppy seas made it difficult to spot any fish, but we managed to catch a few decent redfish and a couple of snook. We also caught a few trout using live shrimp as bait. Overall, it was a challenging but successful day on the water. Our tackle held up well, with the 13 Fishing #Axum 4.0 paired with Green Omen heavy action proving to be a reliable combo. Despite the tough conditions, we had a great time out on the flats of Anclote River and would definitely recommend it to any avid fisherman looking for a challenge.</span><br></div>

<div>We started our day early in the morning, launching our boat at the flats of Anclote River in Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, Florida. The water was calm, and we could feel the gentle breeze on our faces. The weather was perfect for fishing, with light winds and a clear sky.</div><div><br></div><div>We started fishing with our 13 Fishing #Axum 4.0 paired with Green Omen heavy action. The bait we used was live shrimp, which proved to be an excellent choice. Within minutes, we hooked our first catch, a beautiful redfish. It put up a good fight, but we managed to reel it in. Adien was thrilled to catch his first redfish.</div><div><br></div><div>After that, we decided to move to a different spot. We spotted a school of trout, and they were biting. We caught several trout, and Adien's family was delighted to see the fish jumping out of the water.</div><div><br></div><div>We also took some time to do some shelling and site-seeing. We saw dolphins swimming near our boat, and it was a magical experience.</div><div><br></div><div>Overall, it was a fantastic day of fishing with Adien and his family. We caught several fish, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and made some unforgettable memories. We can't wait to do it again soon!</div>

<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>The fishing on the flats of Anclote River was fantastic today! The calm waters and light winds made for perfect fishing conditions. We were able to catch a variety of species including Redfish, Snook, and Trout.</div><div><br></div><div>Our tackle setup consisted of a 13 Fishing #Axum 4.0 reel paired with a Green Omen heavy action rod. We used 20 lb. test braided line and 1/4 oz. jig heads with soft plastic baits.</div><div><br></div><div>The Redfish were biting early in the morning and we were able to catch several of them using the soft plastic baits. As the day went on, we started to target Snook and Trout. We found success using cut bait and live greenbacks.completing the slam!</div><div>Overall, it was a great day of fishing on the flats of Anclote River. The calm waters and light winds made for perfect conditions and we were able to catch a variety of species using our trusty tackle setup.</div>

We started out fishing the flats near the Anclote River and quickly found schools of redfish. <div>I had a client book a single person charter this week. I’d never met him until the day of the charter. He was adamant he be on the boat regardless of weather, winds, red tide…. It didn’t matter. He was on vacation and his wife was headed to Crystal River to see the manatees. I asked if he wanted to get our early with me for bait. His response was absolutely. Ironically we got to watch manatees while getting skunked on bait,Getting bait was terrible. No one was getting them- guys went north others went south. I looked at Mark and said man, we maybe throwing artificials today. He response again surprised me… Josh, I’m on a boat and if we don’t catch a thing, I’m good.&nbsp;</div><div>I was at a loss- other guys that knew what to do and where to go were lost too. I did what i always do and went against the grain, literally into 2-3 foot chop.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 1em;">Knowing the waves were going to be brutal on the way back. When we stopped i see a shimmer and a glimmer of hope. The green backs are sitting there. I tell mark to throw the lure I’ve rigged up for him while i chum up these little rays of sunshine. I throw the cast net and i have more greenbacks than I’ve had the last two days! 3. My second and third cast the game is on! Fighting the wind we head to fish- on the way to our 1st spot, i change my mind and stop. As we approach, i see a massive school of reds! I grab the newest rod and reel to my arsenal, a 13 Fishing Omen paired with the brand new Axum 4.0. Bammmm Mark is on! He lands a 25” fat red! What he says next floors me. “MAN THIS IS THE ONLY FiSH I WANTED TO CATCH!” I’m in disbelief, but i knew then i had him hooked. We spent the remainder of the day watching a lot of fish. We were Stalking and sight casting to reds, snook and trout…most would not eat. I told him we’re about to come around this corner and it’s been holding fish, but i haven’t had a hook up here, ever! Again there’s a huge school! I baited the hook and told Mark to cast as far as he could… again he was on! Near the end of the trip he tells I’m a true professional. He thanked me for everything i did to make his trip. It’s still hard to believe, that I’m doing what I’m doing, to earn a living.</span></div>

Coach landed a 3' lesser Hammerhead shark a couple huge blue fish. His daughters and soon to be son inlaw started the day with gray grunts and grouper! it will be a trip i will hold near to my heart for a long time! &nbsp;We've been fishing daily here in Tarpon springs on this fall Gulf bite! The fishing is fun, challenging, a bit cold, and fun! Did I say fun? It's fun! 
We are reeling in some fun and unique  hammerhead sharks, shown in the video and photos attached, redfish, some bottom feeders... grouper and grunts, prepping for crabbing trips and so much more!

Each trip accommodates 4–6 young anglers, with a minimum of 4 needed to sail, ensuring plenty of personalized attention. Departing from Anclote River Park at 8 a.m. and returning around 2 p.m. (weather permitting), this trip includes all fishing equipment, ice, and water. Kids will have the chance to catch a variety of local fish species while learning essential fishing techniques from a USCG Master Captain.
